FAT recovery – Restore Windows FAT system data
Despite its odd name FAT recovery is in no way related to weight loss. What it is relative to is the recovery of files that have been deleted damaged or lost from Windows File Allocation Table. These are divided storage segments of a computer that runs on Windows 98 or earlier. While very few computers in use are running Windows 98 many peripheral devices still use FAT to section and store files.
A prime example would be USB Flash drives. These are formatted in Windows FAT 32. As such when files are accidentally deleted by reformatting one must use a program for file recovery that is designed to be effective FAT recovery software. Considering that many Camera Smart cards are also formatted in FAT the demand for valid FAT recovery software is quite large. It is very doubtful you will ever need to recover hard drive files formatted using the FAT system but should you find yourself needing to do this an upper grade recovery program will handle the task.
